Hello World!

Hello World!

If you’re familiar with previous version of this site - if such thing can be considered - then there isn’t much difference, really. I’m just getting my feet wet. On the whole website making and such. Digital sovereignty and all that, albeit within a free hoster. Well, gotta start somewhere, right?

Funnily enough I do have actual web hosting and a domain. Two of them, even! They’re just, well, not much used. Maybe I will someday.

Anyway lately I’m prevaricating and played gacha games again, specifically Honkai Impact 3, Zenless Zone Zero, Heaven Burns Red, Path to Nowhere, and Girls Frontline 2: EXILIUM. Yeah I’m really bad at managing my time. Maybe I should give up sometimes.

I’m thinking gacha games is like music streaming site of sort, you know? Here you go, practically unlimited Content:tm:. All it cost is some affordance you take for granted in more limited content: in music streaming site, it’s the ability to do normal music player things: skipping, choosing your playlist, what have you. It is denied to you - you have to pay for them. In gacha, for a game that has even more expanded stories, you’re severely limited by characters or whatever you can get, and need to pay them with time or money.

Sometimes I wondered if it’s worth it. Maybe it doesn’t. Maybe I should be as merciless as these capitalist too, just refuse to pay them any money or participate in any challenge modes and only enjoy the stories. That might be the best compromise, yes?
